Working in confined spaces

January 21, 2020

At Aworth Survey Consultants we are required to survey land and buildings in a variety of circumstances and environments, with some more challenging than others. Always mindful of health and safety, we recently supported a number of our team members in completing ‘working in confined spaces’ training.

A confined space is one which is both enclosed, or largely enclosed, and which also has a reasonably foreseeable risk to workers of fire, explosion, loss of consciousness, asphyxiation or drowning.

If the right precautions aren’t taken, working in confined spaces can be extremely dangerous and the course helped our team members to be aware of the risks involved and how to avoid them. It also means that we can offer our clients a more comprehensive service, while being aware of any health and safety implications.
