Working closer to home
July 03, 2020
While much of the work we do is in London and across the whole of the South East, we’ve been working on a project much closer to our headquarters in Uckfield, East Sussex recently.
Ashdown Business Park has been created on land adjacent to the A272 in Maresfield, near Uckfield. Many of the units are now occupied, or about to be, by firms including John Lewis (which has built a distribution centre there), Gunnebo, PGL, Applications Engineering and Vega Controls. The site also includes a Costa Coffee (with a drive-through facility) and a Premier Inn (due to open in October 2020).
Some remaining business units are currently being marketed by Uckfield-based Lawson Commercial, which described them in a recent article on the Uckfield News website https://uckfieldnews.com/new-business-units-probably-finest-available-in-uckfield-on-the-market/ as ‘probably the finest available in Uckfield’, adding that they are ‘exceptional premises situated in a wonderful environment, overlooking a lake and woodland’.
At Aworth Survey Consultants, our work on the site included setting out works on three sites on behalf of CRB Construction, based in Isfield; in addition to the land survey on another of the sites.
“We are delighted to see such a prestigious business park being built so close to Uckfield,” says John Witherden, Managing Director of Aworth Survey Consultants. “It feels like a very positive development to be happening at this current time and we are very proud to have been involved.”
