New build homes are increasingly more energy efficient than older properties, saving homeowners money on their energy bills. 

• On average, owners of new build homes could save up to £184* on monthly energy costs compared with older properties – that’s £2,200 a year! 

• 85% of new builds have an A or B EPC rating – less than 5% of older properties achieve the same energy performance. 

• New regulations mean homes built from 2023 include more sustainability features as standard, including energy and water-efficient fixtures, fittings and electric charging points.
