Heading in the right direction

Following the disappointment last year of having to cancel the 18^th annual classic car run due to covid restrictions, Uckfield and District Lions Club was pleased that its fundraising event could go ahead in 2021. Here at Aworth Survey Consultants, we were delighted to be able to support the car run once again by providing all the entrants with maps to navigate the route. 

The run set off from the Halfway House at Isfield and headed to The Powder Mills in Battle for coffee, before returning back to Isfield for a barbeque, enjoyed by nearly 240 people. 

Around £2600 was raised, which is being split between two charities that support local children and young people who live with physical and social difficulties, Phab and Kids Count.

The Lions said: “Thanks to Aworth Survey Consultants for providing the route maps, which enabled the safe return of the cars.”

Added John Witherden, Managing Director of Aworth Survey Consultants: “We are pleased that everyone taking part in this event were able to negotiate the course with ease and that such a good amount was raised for the chosen charities. Through our MAPS@Aworth division, we can create route maps for any type of event, based on Ordnance Survey mapping data.”
