Chris Swann gains key qualification

Surveyor Chris Swann has recently gained his Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying.

He joined Aworth Survey Consultants in 1998 as a trainee surveyor, having already completed a year of training with another company, which he had joined after leaving school.

“I wasn’t really aware of what surveying was when I started, as I was just out of school, but I discovered that I liked the type of work that it involved, as you get to see lots of different situations,” says Chris. “I like working outside and the variety of different locations I attend, from a field one day to working on a building site the next.”

A Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying is aimed at individuals who are either experienced surveyors who can collect survey data from the real world to create accurate maps of existing detail, or engineering surveyors who can set out designed data from plans into the real world.

Having been with Aworth Survey Consultants for more than 20 years he says: “We pride ourselves on our presentation of our product and the type of surveying technique we use. We make sure we provide all the relevant information that a client requires but, on top of that, our experience means we also give them key information that they may not have thought about asking for.”

When he’s not at work, Chris enjoys playing tennis and watching Formula 1 racing
