Aberfeldy Village in Poplar wins three prestigious national awards

Aworth are delighted to see Aberfeldy Village in Poplar has won three prestigious national awards:

• Best Housing Partnership at the British Homes Awards

• Best Partnership for over 100 Homes at the Inside Housing Development Awards.  

• The Aberfeldy Village scheme was also highly commended for Best Regeneration at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards.

Paul Dooley, Director of Development and Regeneration at Poplar HARCA said: “For over a decade we have been working closely with our partners EcoWorld and residents to create real social value for our community and a sustainable neighbourhood that works for everyone.”  

He added: "We are extremely proud that this approach to partnership working and our long-term commitment to Aberfeldy has been recognised by three more awards and we are eager to take these successes forward into the new masterplan to continue delivering the transformation residents in the wider area need."

The regeneration of the Aberfeldy Estate is an ambitious scheme that is transforming this area of East London into a village, with over 1,000 new homes, health centre, faith centre, retail spaces, community centre, and green spaces. The project is being led by EcoWorld London in partnership with housing association Poplar HARCA. The project is halfway through its 20-year timeline.

Aworth produced detailed topographical surveys, as-built building and street scene elevations for which the project planning and design is based upon.
