CAD/Map Data Sales Technician

We require a CAD/Map Data Sales Technician to work in our Uckfield Office. The role will involve creating electronic drawings from survey work of topographical and building surveys, including administering sales of OS maps and other map products.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CAD
- In-house CAD training provided to applicant where needed.
- Produce 2D and 3D data CAD drawings.
- Plots and despatch all hard copy surveys to clients one approved.
- Meet the drawing deadlines as required and maintain standards and quality at all times.
- Ensure the drawing/delivery of work is in accordance with the project specification and conforms to company standards.
- Undertake a number of general office administration duties:
Map Data Sales
- Supply OS maps and other map products to customers, using the Map Data Portal system.
- Generate quotes, invoices & receipts as appropriate and all relevant admin with posting or emailing the product to the customer.
- Treat customers with courtesy while maintaining professional; and commercial standards whether by phone, email or walk-in.
- Maintain client details list for regular customers in line with GDPR guidance.
- Maintain accurate sales records thus ensuring our accounts department have the correct information.
- Credit control for maps accounts clients.
- Monthly invoicing and technical support for all Desktop Mapping (DTM) clients when needed.
- Optimise sales opportunities for potential new clients. Proactively search for new customers and promote our services.
- Research and purchase Land Registry documents as required.
- Undertake other duties and tasks for Aworth Land Surveys as requested.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Confident telephone manner.
- Previous AutoCAD experience (desirable but not essential).
- GCSE Grades or Equivalent in Maths and English.
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good all-round knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel & Access.
- Experience of processing data and sensitive information.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to ensure all work is completed on time and within the agreed timeframes.
- Attention to detail to ensure high levels of accuracy and produce error-free documents.
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to help others with a positive attitude and a can-do personality.
- Confident in dealing with customers over the telephone, email and face-to-face.
- Recognised CAD qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience of using n4ce software (desirable but not essential).
Full training in all aspects of the role will be provided.

Aworth Survey Consultants is long-established measured land and building surveying company, operating in London and the South East and is an authorised Ordnance Survey Data Centre supplying mapping and data products to a wide range of professionals and the general public.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week. Part Time hours would be considered for the right candidate.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Land and Measured Building Surveyor to work predominantly in London and the South East Region.
Duties

Carrying out Land and Measured Building surveys
Post-processing work
Assisting in the resolution of any issues
The successful applicant will have/be:
- Minimum 3 years Land Surveying experience
- Have the ability to install and process control networks
- Have experience of working on a wide variety of different land surveying projects
- Experience of setting out
- Able to work independently
- A full UK Driving Licence
Desirable skills and experience:
- The ability to use N4CE for processing
- A good knowledge of Measured Building Surveys and Elevation Surveys
- A good knowledge of AutoCAD
- The ability to collect & process laser scan data on site
- N4CE
- Leica Total Station EDM & GPS
- PDS Software
This is a family feel SME company who have a very low turnover of staff and work on a variety of interesting and diverse projects of various sizes. This role would suit a confident land surveyor who requires minimal supervision and wants to be part of a small friendly team.
You will be working predominantly London and the South East although the company are UK wide so there will be occasional working away.
Standard hours are 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £26,000 - £33,000 dependent upon experience
